Data Observability Engineer

You will build and maintain the observability stack for our ML and data systems using ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus. You will define SLOs, build dashboards, and implement intelligent alerting to keep production pipelines healthy and transparent.

• Design and maintain Grafana dashboards for ML pipeline monitoring
• Configure Prometheus metrics collection, recording rules, and alerting
• Build Elasticsearch indices and Kibana dashboards for log analysis
• Set up anomaly detection alerts for data drift and pipeline failures
• Define SLOs/SLAs for data freshness, model latency, and throughput
• Integrate observability tooling into CI/CD workflows and deployment gates

• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and log aggregation patterns
• Experience writing PromQL and Elasticsearch query DSL
• Python scripting for custom exporters and automation
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based deployments and Helm monitoring stacks

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or Jaeger for distributed tracing
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Soda)
• Background in ML model monitoring tools (Evidently, WhyLogs)
